Pain Management 101

Pain is inevitable: we have all experienced pain whether it be mild or severe. One thing we continue to hear from M.D.’s, acupuncturists, massage therapists, physical therapists, and chiropractors is this:

“Make sure to stay on top of your pain.”

Our Outch team would say that’s sound advice. Pain management–whether it be stretching, meditating, or applying a topical pain relief such as Outch–only works when it is a part of a routine. We merely ask that you don’t make your pain management play a game of catch up.

Buying products to help manage pain is only half the battle; believe it or not, you actually have to use the products for them to work. Don’t just buy them and forget about them.

For example, a foam roller can work wonders on sore and tight muscles. We know a foam roller can be an eyesore, but how often does it really get used when it’s hiding under your bed?

The same goes for your Outch Ointment. Don’t stuff your Outch in the back of your medicine cabinet! Keep it out in plain sight, so you remember to use it.

If you suffer from chronic tightness in your hips from sitting all day at work, set a timer to get up and move around. Make a habit of staying on top of your pain. We have clients that place their pain regiment by their daily vitamins, or by their car keys as a constant reminder. Pick a visible place and stick with it.

Do you use a product to stay on top of pain? If so, where do you keep it?

If you are suffering from chronic aches and pains, remember to use your Outch on a regular basis. Don’t wait until the pain is unbearable. Our proprietary blend of Chinese herbs and CBD oil is safe enough to use throughout the day, every day, and it is the perfect alternative to traditional pain management.
